Good morning, My parents are from Atlantic and are regulars there at the Danish Inn. I am from Colorado Springs, CO, and would like to see how I could go about obtaining a gift certificate from your restaurant to send them for Christmas.
Thank you, Amy
Amy, It's great to hear that your parents are regulars at the Inn and a gift certificate is a terrific idea right now. From now until the 23rd of December we are offering a 20% bonus on any gift certificate purchased. For example, if you send us $20.00 we'll make the certificate out for $24.00. You can purchase one in a couple of ways. You can call the Inn during our operating hours which are: Tuesday through Saturday 11am - 3pm and 5pm - 9pm, Sunday 11am - 3pm, Closed Monday. We can take you credit card information over the telephone and mail it out. You can also mail us an addressed envelope and a check for the amount you want to pay, we'll add 20% and mail it to the address on the envelope. Either way is fine. Thanks for thinking of us for a gift for your parents. We hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Verne, I will get an envelope with a card for my parents, addressed and stamped, sent out to you tomorrow along with $20 if you place the gift certificate in the envelope and mail it to them in Atlantic. Thanks so much. They really enjoy your restaurant (and we do as well when we are back home to visit). You have wonderful food and the best service! I'm sure they will look forward to being up there very soon to use their gift.
Merry Christmas to you and your great staff!

Greetings Danish Inn Staff: I recently had a chance to enjoy your "regular" Kringle, as well as the fruit-filled version, during a visit at my in-laws, who live in Indianola, IA, and who had purchased your pastries earlier this summer. Both myself, a Copenhagen-transplant over 30 years ago, and my mother, still a resident of suburban Copenhagen also visiting in Iowa, were extremely impressed with your delicious pastries - just like being home again!
Mange tak. Keep up the great work!

We were driving through Iowa and pulled off the highway to check out the danish town. I wouldn't give the town 5 stars but this restaurant is a little bit of heaven. We went for lunch and had the buffet, which consisted of salad, broasted chicken, brisket, meatloaf, mashed and au gratin potatoes, and lot more. Everything is home made. I've never had such good food for lunch in my life! The meatloaf is tender and juicy, the au gratin potatoes had chunks of smoked ham in them..OMG! For desert, they have danish layer cake, which was to die for. And the entire bill for 2 of us came to $23. If I'm ever in Iowa again, I'll definitely return here!
